Post image for Monday

Monday

Have you ever had a weekend where it seemed to all go by in a flash? Where you were left wondering what you did or actually got accomplished? Then of course that feeling trickled over into the beginning of your week. Egads! The dreaded Monday!! Well that sort of happened to me and I’m not one to bow down to the all imposing doom and gloom of Monday morning blues. So while I am at work, I finish up the Sweet Delight post this afternoon and focus on how special April 11th is to me (hint for another post) I would like to share with you the “Thought of the day” I sent around to everyone at work this morning.

Mondays are usually not anyone’s favorite day of the week. We are hard pressed to let go of our leisurely weekend and get back into the groove of work. But Mondays can also be looked at as a fresh start and launching pad for new ideas. In the spirit of being creative and always looking forward, here are a few quotes from two innovative minds that never let a Monday slow them down.

Do not anticipate trouble, or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight.

-Benjamin Franklin

Energy and persistence conquer all things.

-Benjamin Franklin

Drive thy business or it will drive thee.

-Benjamin Franklin

I never did a day’s work in my life. It was all fun.

-Thomas A. Edison

If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves.

-Thomas A. Edison

I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.

-Thomas A. Edison

Have a spectacular Monday y’all and I will see you back here this evening for some yummies and nostalgia.

Hugs & Kisses,

Tickled Red

The cat…or in this case I guess the monkey is out of the bag. Happy birthday to your boy and to you…I figure Mom’s actually remember the day the best of anyone, right?
