Make A Ninja Star

Have you ever made a ninja star? Have you ever wanted to make a ninja star? Is there a possibility that you don’t know what a ninja star is?

In case you don’t, that sharp shiny thing up above is a ninja star. It has pointy spikes. It zings through the air. It may even be a nifty coat rack for some ninjas incognito but mostly it holds the fascination for boys of all ages. Well at least my monkey-headed boys. They make their own ninja stars, go figure.

See the plastic bottle cap and ring that my little guy is holding? Well just you wait, M2 is going to show y’all how to make something nifty and cool.

1.) Once you’ve quenched your thirst with your sports drink (their lager size lids work best), remove the plastic ring that the lid was previously attached to.

2.) Turn the plastic ring inside out. As it so happens, they’re manufactured with grips. Sharp, pointy grips. Hmmm…

3.) Fit the ring, pointy side out, around the bottle cap.

Sometimes big chompers are necessary during this part of the building stage.

Voila!! Your very own handy dandy spiky ninja star.

Perfect for going all Kung-Fu master, oops…Ninja Master on your big bro with.

Fortunately for me my guys know better. The various rainbow of ninja stars that they’ve made are never thrown at each other. Off into the bushes, up a tree or over a sand dune but never, ever at each other. Nope, they just do this instead…

Sigh…

At least everyone’s retinas are still intact and there aren’t any puncture wounds. Visible ones anyway…I’m not totally naive.

What off the wall creations have your kids made? Or better yet what did you come up with that made your parents raise their eyebrows?

Note: If y’all decide to make these fun little gadgets, please don’t hold me responsible for any Ninja wannabe accidents.

My kids have seriously been playing ninja endlessly…both my girl and my boys. They will love this little addition. Now just to make sure they drink the drinks before removing and using the tops. ;)
