Sorry guys but I don’t have any red, white & blue desserts for you this 4th of July. Nor do we have any adventures with surfing today. What we do have for you is the Annual Fourth of July Build a Boat Race. Coach John dreamed up this creative activity a couple of years ago and seeing what sort of boats the kids come up with never fails to have us all in stitches.
Noodles, inner tubes, doors, you name it. No two are alike but they are all on edge for…On your mark! Get set! GO!!
Love the patriotic doors but part of me was pulling for the Rings of Destiny, I know so bad.
Creative though some may have been, fierce determination and girl power won the day. Then the real shenanigans began.
In case you were wondering, squirting your little brother in the back of the head WILL garner a reaction.
Fortunately he’s good spirited about it.
Or maybe not. Don’t shot, I surrender!!
Who remembers playing Sharks and Minnows? Now who wants to dive in and play? Me too!

This is where M1 gets pummeled. They are just playing around I promise. Don’t ask me why but all of his buddies love to toss him around like a bean bag. Might have something to do with the foot and a half height differential.
Don’t worry guys, he’s alright. What harm is there in a crooked ear, he has another.
Well that’s our July 4th so far, nothing too over the top but that’s the way we like it. A day filled with friends, fun and the freedom to simply be…you can’t get much better than that today.
