BBQ & Beyond ~ Side Dish Roundup & KitchenAid Giveaway Winners!

by Tickled Red on July 18, 2012

Well guys the BBQ & Beyond Side Dish Giveaway closed on Monday and it’s time to announce the lucky three KitchenAid winners but how about a little Side Dish Roundup first. Hanging out with y’all at a BBQ would truly be a treat not to mention mouthwatering! You guys had us salivating with all of your favorite side dishes. Choosing a few favorites for our roundup was difficult because all of them were tempting! Here though are a few that we chose…

Amy of u Try. It ~ Rainbow Salad

Aviva of The Scramble ~ Spinach & Quinoa Salad with Toasted Cashews and Dried Cranberries

“Maria Aguilera ~ My favorite BBQ side dish is a Greek Lima Bean, incredibly delicious side!!” Girl! Tell us more about this please because Greek flavors are oh so lovely.

Leslie of Dishing with Leslie ~ Loaded Baked Potato Salad

“Dani H. ~ I have a family recipe for mustard potato salad that everyone loves!” Do tell darlin’ :D

“Cara ~ My new favorite side dish to share is a …I don’t think it has a name! Corn, cream cheese, butter, and chilies. I know, not healthy at all, but so creamy and yummy!” Gracious, sounds delish! Who’s counting calories anyway ;D

Lindsay of Tiny Painted Fingers ~ Baked Cinnamon & Sugar Pita Chips

Jodi ~I make penne pasta with fresh corn, black beans and tomatoes mixed with a lime honey vinaigrette. If I don’t make the penne, I’ll bring some chips and use it as a salsa. We need to know more about that vinaigrette!

Sharon G. ~LOVE grilled coconut milk corn on the cob! Soooo delish I had to have more than one! Heavens! That does sound delish, pass the corn please.

Lindsay M. ~ I love to make a peach and tomato quinoa salad. Cook the quinoa in chicken broth with a few sprigs of fresh thyme. On the side, saute tomatoes and peaches with a bit of garlic. The tomatoes and peaches will reduce and just pour the liquid over the quinoa. Add some fresh basil or mint at the end and it’s delicious! Okay, sign us up!

If you guys have not taken a scroll through all of the comments on our individuals posts, you should. There are some fantastic recipes listed! I may be speaking for all of us with this statement but I do believe that Meredith, Kristen and I will be busy in the kitchen this summer trying quite a few out.

Now for what you have all been waiting for. And the winners are…
